# Manage devices from the dashboard

The Devices dashboard shows all connected hardware in a table view. From here you can check device status, open detailed views, reconfigure devices, or disconnect them.

## Device table

| Column               | Description                                          |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| Device Name          | Hardware identifier (e.g., "Anthriq Instinct Jumbo") |
| Subject Name         | Currently assigned subject, or "—" if none           |
| Battery Status       | Battery percentage from device state                 |
| Channels             | Number of active channels                            |
| Sampling Rate        | Data acquisition rate (e.g., 1000 Hz)                |
| Configuration Status | "Completed" (green dot) or "Incomplete" (red dot)    |

## Device details overlay

Click any device row to open the details overlay on the right side. The overlay shows:

* Full device information (IP address, firmware version, model).
* Live EEG diagram with impedance colors (for Instinct devices).
* Action buttons:
  * **Configure Device**: navigate to Electrode Configuration.
  * **Disconnect**: disconnect the device (with confirmation).
  * **Unlink Subject**: remove the subject assignment.

## Banner and quick actions

The page header shows a banner with an orange gradient overlay and the device background image. Quick actions:

* **Add New Device**: navigate to [Device Discovery](/bxi-studio/device-discovery.md).
* **Documentation** link: opens device documentation.

## Add a new device

Click the **Add New Device** button (orange, top-right of banner) to navigate to [Device Discovery](/bxi-studio/device-discovery.md) and connect new hardware.
