# Dashboard

The Dashboard is the central hub of BXI Studio. After connecting and configuring your device, this is where you land. It provides an overview of your current session, connected devices, and quick access to every feature.

## Sidebar navigation

The sidebar on the left provides access to all dashboard sections:

| Icon     | Section  | Description                               |

| Home     | Home     | Session overview and quick actions        |
| Stream   | Streams  | Live data streaming and recorded sessions |
| Subject  | Subjects | Manage test subjects and configurations   |
| Device   | Devices  | View and manage connected hardware        |
| Settings | Settings | App preferences and system configuration  |

Click any sidebar item to navigate. The current section is highlighted in purple.

## Dashboard sections

### Devices

View all connected devices in a table format.

Click a device row to open the [Device Details Overlay](/bxi-studio/home/devices.md) with full device info, configuration details, and actions (Configure, Disconnect, Unlink Subject).

### Subjects

Manage all test subjects. Create new subjects, view their device configurations, and assign them to connected devices.

### Streams

Access live streaming and view past recording sessions. Each recording shows timestamp, duration, and the device used.

### Experiments

Design, build, and run experimental paradigms — covering the full workflow from initial idea to collected data, without switching between separate tools.

### Settings

Configure app-level preferences including theme mode, update settings, and system information.

> **Note:** Theme is persisted across sessions via localStorage. Toggle it from the top-right of the dashboard.
